A debate with a non-slasher direct from [livejournal.com profile] epicyclical's LJ:

LL2X: Fine maybe he (Sir Ian) is gay but Legolas is not gay! How dare you say he was gay!
CC: What? Oh. The VSD's. They're a joke. Besides, for all we know, he was gay.
LL2X: He was not gay! He was an elf!
CC: I think we can all agree that's pretty gay.
LL2X: It is not! Elves are pure!
CC: And, like a straight Ian McKellan, completely mythical. Find me the passage in LOTR where Legolas says "I am not gay." Go on, find it. Take as much time as you like.
LLX2: He was not gay and I am very upset with you and so are the members of my church! You will be very upset when they start spreading the word!
CC: The word of what?
LL2X: That you think Legolas is gay!
CC: I think this is already pretty well known about me. But feel free.
LL2X: Aren't you afraid of Hell?
CC: Did you find that passage about Legolas not being gay yet? I think it was in the Silmarillion.
LL2X: See I told you he was not gay!
CC: And you were so right. Look, here's the passage. *sends link to Legolas/Aragorn NC-17 pr0n* I am sure you will enjoy reading it.
LL2X: Thanks.
CC: Not a problem.

Favorite bit, and the reason I stuck it up here:
LL2X: He was not gay! He was an elf!
CC: I think we can all agree that's pretty gay.

Whatever happened to the loop feature? I could have sworn Real Player and Quicktime both had one in the past, but I can't find it for the life of me now.

God people suck!

I've been trying off and on for the past few months to get ahold of my two best friends in Arkansas, and every single time I call they're not there. Now that I don't mind so much, as I know they have extremely bussy schedules, but what bothers me is they never call me back!

I've done a hell of a lot over the years to maintain our friendships and it's like because I'm not there they don't see any reason to return the favor. I can count on one hand the number of times either of them have called me since I moved to New Mexico. I've always been the one to call and try to keep up with their lives, which bugs me, but I can live with it. What really bothers me is the fact that I've called like four or five times in the past two months and neither of them has bothered to call back.

I bend over backwards for my friends. I go out of my way to do cool things for them. I forgive about anything for them. I'll forgive them this the minute I actually speak to them, but for right now I'm just a bit put out.

It's either be put out or feel decidedly unloved, and frankly I'd rather be pissed off.

Anyhow, it's days like today that I wonder why I bother with any part of the human race.

*goes off sulking*

Dude! I so fucking love Doonesbury. I've been reading over the Mark Coming Out arc and they're just brilliant. Only problem I have with them is I wish someone would go clean up the text on some of the worst scans.

Anyhow, love Doonesbury Online.

As a side note: How do you know you're in a really wonky mood? When you want to listen to Marilyn Manson and watch Where The Heart Is.
