Just an idea...

I've been thinking about making a fandom road trip next summer sometime. Start with a few people and drive to the next person on the list, pick them up and go to the next. I'm almost sure anyone who can spare the time will want to go for a stop or two. We'd spend a day or two at anyone with a good sized house and have a fandom party for a day or two then, move on. As people have to get back to their life they can head back home, but it would be interesting to have a traveling fandom gathering for a little while.

As most of the people I know have several fandoms they're interested in, I think I'll keep it open to all slashers, so que up people. If we have more than one person who volunteers their home for a specific area, we can divide up into fandom houses. example: a Smallville fest in house a, and a Harry Potter fest in house b. Either way there are lots of great games that will be fun for the lot. Slash life, bad!fic appreciation hour, round robbins, drinking games(which I prefer to play with m&m's if I'm driving the next day), Slashy re-enactments of favorite scenes, name that otp charades... The list goes on.

The final destination is open to suggestion, but it has to be within North America. Preferably US or Canada.

If it goes well, we could possibly launch a england expedition for the year after that.

So fandom, let me know who'se interested and around april I'll start plotting out a course and contacting people about dates and traveling info.

Actually that was one stop that is already on the list as a deffinite. You see there's this great little thai place...*g* Plus I've always wanted to meet you and Stu in person. You seem like quite the interesting pair to observe in action.

Damn it, now I'm going to have that wildlife naration guy in my head all day. "and here we see the elusive Susui in her natural environment. We must be careful not to observe her to closely though or her group of loyal felines will set upon us and tear us limb from limb... and if you think that's bad you haven't seen what the rabid fangirls will do..."
