Well I lived there for a bit and found it the most wonderful spot in cali. Its very open minded without being like venice beach, and the people were very akin to the feel of silver. It's a hop away from monterey so the yearly jazz fest is major fun, knowing your love of good music. And lord knows its cheaper to live there. I hope sometime you might be able to take a cruise up to cruz and see for yourself. LOVE ya.
