inteligrrlRight, so the last ditch option for summer in San Diego fell through which means my plans for the summer are at least decided.
As of May 14th I'll be spending the summer in Arkansas (*sniffles* bye bye broadband). I'll be looking into arranging some form of internet access while I'm there though, so with any luck I'll only be out of touch for a few weeks.
All in all the Arkansas thing's not too bad. I'll be living with my grandparents and they'll pamper the hell out of me. Hopefully I can re-establish some connection with my old friends. Basically I'm no longer worried about the summer, but what comes after.
Now, I have two real options for when the summer's gone.
1: apply to transfer to Albuquerque and go to college there.
Good Things: it's only 4 hours from home.
I can still be on my parents insurance and the like.
Bad Things : I'm only 4 hours from home.
It's still New Mexico.
The place is fucking cold.
2: I finish working and use my funds to get set up in San Diego. Work through the fall semester to get some financial security, take a few classes in the spring semester. Attend college full time once again as soon as residency requirements are met (roughly a year).
Good Things: I'm on my own.
I have several very good friends already there.
I'm in San Diego.
Bad Things: Giving up college for at least one possibly two semesters.
Having to pay for rent, utilities, food, ect. myself.
Living in a big city like that, virtually on my own, could be quite scary.
Basically I'm trying to decide the rest of my life and it's more than a bit scary. I think I'm going to give San Diego a try, it's where I really want to be. Also, any other course of action just leaves a pile of lead in my stomach. I just think it's time to go.
Anyhow, life without a safety net, here I come.
As a side note, I'm only 85% pure apparently. I swear I can explain everything! It's not as bad as it looks!
