Dec. 24th, 2002 12:05 pm"All's well that ends well" is my saying for the day.
You may recall that yesterday I was in a bit of a panic but as that is now over I can tell you what happened.
I'm housesitting in this great big old house, which happens to be heated with a steam heater. You have to fill it up every two days with water or BAD THINGS happen. Well I'd planned to fill it every day, just in case I was my usual ditzy self and forgot. So, I did it Saturday evening and went right ahead forgetting about it Sunday. I went down Monday night and saw the water level. I suppose as it has been extra cold it's been using more water than normally, but it was definitely lower than it should have been, though not by much. I filled it up and went to bed, my thoughts filled with doom and disaster.
Got up this morning, looked at it and everything's fine.
*great sigh of relief*
Thank God.
