damn evil empire
Dec. 17th, 2002 09:24 pmHave come to the conclusion that Wal*Mart is biased against fuzzy ducky slippers.
I suppose I should explain.
My mother was in El Passo last week and bought me some flannel to make pj pants out of. It's really cool with a bath bubble pattern and rubber duckies scattered about. So, I spent about three and a half hours last night making FLANNEL FUZZY RUBBER DUCKY PANTS!!!(I'm excited about them, can you tell?)
The only thing I needed to make my bedtime outfit complete was a blue stretchy shirt (also, could not find one that was satisfactory), and what I reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllly wanted, fuzzy ducky slippers.
Wal*Mart had all the cool slippers you could imagine. There were three rows devoted to alligator, snoopy, batman, pig, gorilla, monkey, dog, cat, bunny, marvin the martian, kermit, elmo, and simpsons slippers. You would think that in that veritable menagerie of slippers I could find one pair of fuzzy ducky slippers, right?
wrong.
Not only were duckies the only neglected animal in the aisle, but the only muppet/Sessame Street character left out was Ernie, who would have gone just as well with the theme.
*pouts*
I had to settle for plain, boring, old, blue fuzzy slippers. Is just one pair of duckies to much to ask for?
