New LJ Layout & Icons

Well, I've been sick of my LJ icons for an age, so I decided to change them out. I've spent half the evening going through multitudes of icon sites, as I no longer have the time/programs to create my own. Decided to change my layout to suit the new ones better.

p.s. How wrong is it that what I really want is an icon of Orphan Annie that says "I am the red headed stepchild".

Either that or a SG:A one saying "Don't you wish your fandom was hot like me. Don't you."

This reminded me of something I've been meaning to tell you for a while:
When you first friended me I recognised your Gender Unbiased icon. Since icons tend to float around and switch users a lot I didn't think much of it - until I found it saved on one of my CDs (I save any cool icon I find, even though I never use them). I hadn't named the file so it still had the LJ number - which was yours.
Kinda weird to think that I knew of you before I knew you or you knew me.

How nifty! There's a couple of my friends who I knew by icon before I 'met' them online, you get a feel for a persons personality by their icons I think. Particularly ones they made themselves. It's nice to know that you've got a copy of the Gender Unbiased one, just incase I loose it on this computer. It's my favorite of the ones I made too.

Heh, I don't think many people know me by my icon, yet. I used to switch my icon a lot before I realised the importance that it played in LJ-world.
But it's fun sometimes to see old icons. Always a joy to run across a recognisable user from my old lurkings in the fandom.

I think the redheaded stepchild thing is something southerners will get more than most. I don't think I've heard anyone use it elsewhere, but the very idea makes me laugh.

Gosh girl. Have you heard? The Dear Admiral Orange Sherbert died this past spring. He lead a great life though. I only cried a little.
