it could just be my sense of eminent doom overacting again...

I'm writing something.

I want to think it's cute, sweet, and has potential to be really wonderful, but right at this moment I couldn't bear to look at it.

I have the sneaking suspicion it royally sucks.

*kicks self*

Why oh why can't I write anything but pretty little ficlets decently?

keep working on it. there's always time for you to decide it royally sucks after you're finished. ;P

[besides which it won't, silly.]

If it makes you feel any better, I had the same sneaking suspicion all the way through IA, Beast, and The Last Dance. (Still not happy with Last Dance, to be honest, but what can ya do?) You're always going to be your harshest critic when it comes right down to it. Just plough on through and put the story down on paper. If it sucks, that's what the editing process is for. *eg* (Remember, kids, the editor is your sadomasochistic friend!)

You'll do fine. :) And any writing you do is practise. Just look at your weaknesses and make a conscious effort to fix them next time. (Mine is grammar. Grammar, grammar, grammar. Not Grandpa, just grammar. *sighs*)

*cracks the whip* Write! (Or stuff yourself sick on Ether candy from the discount trolley, either one works.)

Thanks, that actually really helps to hear you had your doubts too. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind.

Anyhow, as you have reassured most my fears I'm off to find some Easter candy as suggested.

Now if only I could get over the nagging feeling my beta's just being nice when she says it's fine...
